“enjoyed the breakfast”

Breakfast/brunch buffet was great! Loved the cheese grits, bread pudding, pork link sausage, egg white frittata! The best fresh squeezed OJ ever. Good coffee. Glad we picked this one!

“Great taste/value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

This is a gem in Old Town, Alexandria. We are local and this has always been one of our go-to breakfast places because it is dog-friendly (plenty of outdoor seats) and the menu is unique, fresh, and awesome. We just went there for dinner and it is a great change from a lot of King St restaurants with a wonderful staff and excellent food with a twist. We ordered a pitcher of sangria, pork taco salad and shrimp sopes. There is also a happy hour evening special that we hope to take advantage of soon.

Hi Jeffrey! Thank you - we love hearing feedback from locals who have been such a major force in our 30 year success story. And of course we love dogs, too - you can see mine in the photo in the front window with the Pupcakes! We're also glad you've tried our Mexico City inspired dinner - thank you for the plug!
We've got exciting things coming later this summer as we work to transform the Alexandria waterfront with our Waterfront Market. Stay tuned for details.

Thanks again for your kind words - they mean a lot to our hard working crew!

“I love this place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

The food is always fresh and it is sold by the pound so you take out exactly what you want and they weigh it and you pay and go. This trip I had some fish, rice, mac & cheese, veggies and the minnestrone soup. YUM! The best thing about this place is it is right across the street on the next block from the Office that i visit when I go to Old Town Alexandria. I will be back!!!!!

Hotel Dude!

Thank you for your return visits, the kind words and more importantly 'getting' what we try to accomplish each day - a big variety of fresh, healthy foods. Sounds like you eat like I do - a little bit of most everything. That's how I make sure everything is good! Sometimes I see visitors looking at the hot line and salad bar and seem unsure about the quality or taste, but the locals know this is the place for great food. Please let us know the next time you're in - we'd love to buy you a big carrot cupcake - which is, I think, the best thing we make! Thank you.

The atmosphere was cool and the service was great. Fish tacos were great! Gerber was a cool server and Ben was a friendly manager.

“Great food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

Went here on a whim for dinner and food was amazing. We both had fish tacos and noticed the special care taken. The server Gerber was very friendly and because it was happy hour kept the sangria flowing. We'll be returning.
