This site was wonderful! My husband and I are Wyndham/Fairfield TimeShare Owners! We stayed here with our 2 daugthers ages 10 and 6! We drove from Ohio to Alexandria, VA. We took the girls to see DC for a 4 day 3 night trip! The staff was very cordial and polite! CHeck in was a breeze! The lobby was amazing and beautiful! Parking was great in the garage underneath!

There is a Metro Station at King Street so we walked to that each morning and took the Metro into the City! What a neat wonderful experience!

Pool was great for kids and Exc. Room was right next door!

The Metro station is just around the corner, easy walk, so this is a great location. Park your car free in their underground garage and leave it there! (There's no place to park in D.C. near the Mall/Smithsonians! ) You can buy various kinds of passes for the Metro... it's clean, fast, frequent.

The pool is shared with next door hotel - it's indoors, small, and has odd short hours... but that's not really why you're in D.C. anyway, is it?
Rooms are spacious, well-equipped, nicely decorated.
Computer room available. Friendly concierge.
We'll definitely stay here again.

Booked this through Redweek.com (directly rented from a timeshare owner) which was a flawless transaction & much less expensive than "rack rate". The lodging was absolutly perfect in respect to getting around to see all DC sites. Easy walk to the Metro across the street (cut through Owner Services office located in lower parking garage level) and we took Metro everywhere> cheap, fast, easy, clean, safe FANTASTIC! Took us about 19 minutes from hotel to the center of the mall! EXCELLENT! (I recommend checking out the metro at [--])
The entire complex was impeccably well kept. We had a 1 bedroom condo with a small kitchen. The living room was on the small side as was the bath, but we were never in the room except to sleep anyway. The entire hotel is going through a remodel, it appeared as they were moving furniture in. Everything in our unit appeared brand new. The King bed in the master was SO comfortable! The sheets were so silky.
The Amtrak station is across the street and the train does wake you up at about 6:30 in the a.m. with it's horn, but we found that a perfect alarm clock & loved the sound of the train.
It is quite a distance to walk to the Waterfront in Old Town, but the Dash bus stops across the street & is only $1.00. Worth it NOT to rent a car & deal with parking.
Stay here!

Do not rent a car. Use the rail system. You can use the rail system from Reagan Airport to the resort and back. Huge, clean rooms that seemed like an apartment. There is so much to see in Washington, DC that we are going back for another week over Labor Day this year ( 2007 ).
