We're actually there right now, and the place is a pleasant surprise. We had a 2-bedroom deluxe (whatever that means), that it is quite large, nicely decorate, and the linens are good quality. It is conveniently located, but the train noise is a bit bothersome. The front desk and concierge are very helpful.

Here are the minuses:
1. Train noise
2. The timeshare sales people are quite agressive, calling us every morning (woke me up each time) to "make sure everything was ok". (We did not book through any kind of timeshare package so therefore are not obligated to tour, but they try nonetheless.)
3. The pool is too small
4. No jacuzzi, no steam room
5. The TVs are small
6. No restaurant on site (although the Hilton next doors does have one)
7. No housekeeping during the stay. (We're staying the whole week, so I'm not sure if that's the typical arrangement.)

That being said, we will probably stay here again.

This was a very nice resort right on the main street of Old Alexandria. We were able to park our car in the underground parking and walk down the street to a plethora of restaurants and shopping. We also walked to the river and take the dinner cruise up the Potomac. There was free bus service that took you nearly all the way to the river as well.

The unit we stayed in was a one bedroom for a maximum of four occupants. It was fine when my husband and I were alone, but when friends came to spend a night with us, it was very crowded. We were in a lock off and since we did not have a very big kitchen (though sufficient for our needs), I assume we were the smaller of the locked off units.

The building appeared to be relatively new. The units were clean and very well appointed, and the concierge was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort.

Wynham Alexandria is the only timeshare resort in the D.C. area. The location is perfect, half a block from the metro and right on King Street lined with antique shops and restaurant all fifteen blocks down to the river front. There is pretty to do all the four days we were there. The one bedroom unit is very nicely decorated. The resort does not seem crowded but it was suppose to be full. The kitchen and bath is a little small but the living and sleeping area is large enough. We had a great time!

Stayed at this property and must say i was pleasently surprised. Very nice rooms and Great location. The staff was very helpful and eager to assist. The metro is right around the corner and is easy to navigate to and from airport and to all attractions and tours. The parking garage is tight but i always found a spot to park. There are only a few things i would change( but none worthy of me not staying here again. I wish the TV were a bit larger and if the had washer/dryers in room. (they are on the floors and free to use though). Again great place
