“good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

The food was good, a three course meal, the choice of four dishes for the main and desert. Every one was quite happy with the food.
I would recommend the the cruise to anyone that has not been before.

“Wonderful private cruise along the Potomac”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Not everyone can say they have taken a cruise along the Potomac. We were lucky to be with a group that had chartered this cruise as a private tour. The top deck is open for dancing and the staff made sure we had a wonderful time. We would certainly do this again. Our tour was in the evening so we enjoyed a wonderful sunset over DC. Was certainly a highlight of our DC trip! Loved the staff!

“Glorious weather on the water”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

Sometimes nature makes everything turn out fine, and last night was one of those times. A Groupon was expiring and it was the last chance to use it. At first it seemed like a bad deal at any price. It was 91 degrees on the blacktop when we joined the growing assembly at dockside at 6:15 pm after parking across the street ($5.). Boarding should commence at 6:30, and I knew it wasn't going to happen when the Captain arrived slightly after that. At 6:45ish we got the word there would be a significant delay. Later we heard that it might be an hour, as both generators were down. Wraps were ling off, high heels were coming off, and a smoker was choking us in the stifling air. The crowd seemed to thin. But at 7:10 we were boarding. There was a flute of champagne or a Mimosa on the house and tables were nicely set. We were ready to forgive...

Short story now: The rolls were very good and kept coming. Salad just okay. Our prime rib meals were only fair, dinner service was very good, desserts of pie and cake were pretty poor. But there was a really cute party of prom teens and lots of other pleasant guests in the group of 120 or so. There was time before the main course and after the minimal appetizer to stroll on either deck and take photos. The Potomac by evening can be gorgeous. After dinner, everyone relished the perfect evening and rest of the beautiful cruise to Georgetown and back. Pam, a lively and lovely senior, was a very enjoyable member of the crew to talk with.

“Views spectacular, food so-so”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

The evening averaged out with beautiful views of both sides of the river vs. a very average and expensive meal. We used a Groupon which saved a great deal but still a very expensive evening. Once is enough for this outing.

“So so”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

This was our second cruise with them, I should have learned my lesson the first time, I felt like I was listening to the old "Love Boat" recording. The food was so so, they pack you in there like sardines, that was my last cruise with Dandy, I will never recommend this restaurant cruise ship
