I had a list of restaurants to try out in Old Town and narrowed it down to Joe Theismann's based on reviews but I have no idea how or why it gets rated above 3 stars by anyone unless they are basing it off of service alone. Speaking of, let's talk about that first. Our waitress, as busy as she was made sure we never had to ask for refills, she was always eyeballing the tables to make sure everyone was all set which was great and any extra help she got was also very friendly and helpful. Food on the other hand is so-so. I for one had the blackened seafood platter which consists of 2 scallops(love scallops), 2 shrimp(love shrimp), and their fresh catch which was mahi mahi at the time. The fish was good, the rice it came on was good, I gagged on the shrimp because it was OVERLY seasoned and tough so I didn't dare eat the second one.The scallops were bland, undercooked, and you can tell they were frozen so I gave the second one to my sister and her face confirmed my feelings towards it when she bit into it. Everyone else at my table said their food was OKAY at best. I noticed they had a decent beer menu and the bar scene looks doable but as far as eating here? Never again. I'm frankly embarrassed I brought anyone here.
