“Location, location, location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

My husband and I spent four nights here recently. It is literally next to the King Street Metro. He's a Hilton Honors member, so breakfast and wireless internet were included. There was a nice buffet for breakfast along with other items available cooked to order. Although our room backed up to the Metro station and Amtrak/freight tracks, we never heard the trains. There is a very nice Whole Foods near the hotel along with numerous restaurants and shops along King Street. It's about a 1/2 mile walk to the river and the heart of Old Town, although there are many restaurants in proximity to the property. Comfortable, clean room, with nice staff with all the amenities within walking distance.

very adequate Hotel. Great location next to the transit center and train. Also very close to great restaurants and shopping. The price of Internet at $14.95/day is ridiculous. Overall it was a positive experience. The hotel is surprisingly quiet given it's proximatey to the train.

Dirty room. Damp carpet. Damp smell in the room. Bathroom dirty (touch the countertop as soon as we arrived and dirt came off). Fridge needed to be defrosted....it was packed with undefrosted ice!!! Very low standards for a Hotel.

Great staff who remembers your name. William especially helpful at bell stand and Danny a morning waiter is excellent. Great location within walking distance to the outstanding restaurants of Old Town.

The hotel looks very impressive on the outside and in the lobby area. When you start looking at the little things, the hotel starts to look less impressive. There are no electrical outlets near the desk, and the outlets on the nightstand lamp are so loose that you have to wiggle the charger to make it work. The heat had to be turned to 78 to feel any level of warmth, and it was not exciting to find long hair in the bathroom. Breakfast was okay but housekeeping's apathy seems to have spread to the waitstaff.

TIP: Watch out for the parking garage. It is a maze of large cement pillars.

As we were approaching our destination, an welcome email come in that was warm and friendly, explaining our room was being set up and that they were expecting us!
When I mentioned we were celebrating our child's 16 bday and wondered if a upgrade would occur, they upgraded us to an suite!
It was in the 7th floor and we regretted we couldn't of stayed longer! Next time we will!
We had great views of the Masonic statue and breakfast and parking was also included! As well as wifi! All that for under 200!
Our suite was clean and beautiful. Our walk to the metro was under 5 minutes. Our walk to hard times cafe was beautiful.
Def going back next spring, thus time for a week for our 20th anniversary!

I loved that atmosphere of the hotel and the concierge was extremely friendly and very helpful. I liked that only patrons could go past the 3rd floor with their room key. That definitely helped keep the hotel pleasant and quiet.
