I normally have great experiences at embassy suites, so this location.surprised me.
The good: great location so much around the hotel, very close toReagan and you can walk to the metro. The complimentary drinks and snacks were nice. Got our wake up call as requested. Left too early for breakfast,but saw them setting up and it looked good. Arranged a cab with the front desk and it arrived promptly.
The bad: we pulled up to check in and I found a luggage cart, I loaded the luggage cart and had the baby in her car seat as well. My husband had to park the car as there were cars piling up behind us. Navigating through the lobby with a luggage cart and car seat with a baby is not easy. I passed two staff members no offer to help, the front desk watched me struggle. Fine, I guess it is "self service". To make it worse to get to our room i had to maneuver the luggage cart and car seat around this very pretty circular walk way, not easy ! I was struggling a lot another staff member walked around me while I was getting the cart unstuck. Thankfully a really nice guest assisted me the rest of the way (very embarrassing).
husband came back and we decided we didn't want to go anywhere as the baby was cranky. He went down to the restaurant and ordered two meals to go, I believe one was scallops and one was halibut. the total was $80, we got no drinks or dessert. This is extremely high, now there is a bar so we could have gotten pizza, wings or burger. There should be a way to get a nice dinner for less than $40 a plate.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am perplexed as to why our staff would not have hurriedly come to your rescue, as they are usually quite responsive to such matters. I will have our management ensure that everyone, no matter which department, feels comfortable offering assistance to any of our guests in the future and thank you for bringing this to my attention.
