“Friendly people there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

We didn't go into the church, just walked through the cemetery but a lady who works there was nice enough to stop and tell us interesting tidbits about one of the markers. We felt welcome.

“Wonderful Docent Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

My son and I walked down to the church on our last day in VA. The docent who gave us a tour (Mrs. Baird) was wonderful. She was pleasant, full of interesting information and welcomed us whole heartedly to her church. A great stop for anyone in the area and a wonderfully historic spot.

“Beautiful historic church”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

Other reviewers have commented on the history and significance of this place of worship. It doesn't disappoint and if you can take in the knowledgably given guided tour it all makes the visit worthwhile.
The shop is worth a visit too. The CD of church music will serve as a tuneful and characteristic souvenir.

“Worth an hour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

The history is the reason to stop by. Both George Washington and Robert E Lee worshipped here. The church has a docent that gives some history and explains when additions were made. It is free, but they ask you to make a donation.

“Worth a look”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Just 1 block off King St. Interesting grave yard, pretty setting and the church is just what you would expect to see in the year 1773
