TJ Stone's was great when it opened. Agree with all the other reviews here. Problem is, over the summer, they somehow chintzed back on happy hour bar food. No great buys remain -- at all. We sampled several items on Sept 2 and felt ripped off, as did the couple sitting next to us, who were also surprised at the changes. I stress: we sat at the bar and did not dine in the restaurant. We found: no real happy hour prices on beer and wine. Changes to the happy hour snack food has made them a lousy buy. Plus, it wasn't crowded and the kitchen service was very slow and the bartenders inattentive. Some of the favorites foods are no longer available -- tacos, and tho I don't eat it, my companions wanted some of their great bbq. Since TJ's is located in a real outpost -- no sexy, hot location, they need to be careful to offer something special to bring people here in coming months. Hate to say it, but there are much, much better deals for great, cheap happy hour drinks and food in overly-yupped-up Clarendon than poor TJ Stone's seems able to offer. Too bad! Possibly the hotel crowd will continue to flow in to keep up business.
