My mom, sisters and I spent this past weekend at the Peake-Fairfax House to celebrate my baby sister's 50th birthday, and I must say, it was spectacular! The home is beautiful, the Nagle family is wonderful, friendly and welcoming, and the town of Alexandria is gorgeous! We were just a block from the main shopping thoroughfare of King Street, and just a few minutes drive to National Harbor and Mt. Vernon. If you are looking for a delightful B & B in a delightful town, be sure to visit the Nagle family at the Peake-Fairfax House. You will NOT be disappointed!!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 5th anniversary with the Nagles!! The house is beautifully decorated and loaded with charm. Great location in Alexandria. Their hospitality was greatly appreciated--they even made our anniversary dinner reservation at a local French restaurant. The Nagles provided a delicious breakfast each day, and they were sure to provide food that was safe for my food allergy. We highly recommend this B&B!

Dorothy and Chet Nagle's restored colonial home is a perfecf place to stay near WA, DC and to enjoy the surrounding countryside. Every room is beautifully appointed. The location just one block off King Street is close to all the main Old Town sites and access to the free trolley to Metro.
Their suggestions for restaurants and places to see were fantastic and they went out of their way to help us enjoy our limited time. Healthy breakfast. But most enjoyable is the chance to get to know these charming hosts. Be sure to ask Chet to talk to you about his two recently published novels and the next to be published soon, and if you are lucky he'll have extra copies available which he will graciously autograph. Beautiful home in a fabulous location. Beautiful town to walk around & within easy reach of the metro for Washington. We stayed in the Poetry suite which had the most comfortable bed! The hosts Dorothy and Chet went out of their way to make our stay the most memorable.It is obviously such a happy family home that it shines through. It was lovely to meet the family & we really enjoyed the wine. Couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend.
