Stayed here 3 nights for a conference; booked two rooms for myself and a coworker. The hotel and rooms were well maintained. Front desk service was top notch: they were very helpful and polite. The free shuttle service was an incredible asset for my colleague and I, as we did not have a car. It's about a two minute ride from the hotel and the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station, as well as Ted's Montana Grill, San Antonio Grill, AMC Theater, Ruby Tuesday, Starbucks, and Cold Stone Creamery (all in a center across from station).
The breakfast buffet did not disappoint, although I felt it to be a little expensive. The hotel has a "Market" that has candy, snacks, and bottled beverages for purchase. The free warm cookies at the front desk were a pleasant treat.
Also a treat: the free high speed internet in the rooms (wired) and lobby (wireless) worked perfectly. An ethernet cable is provided in your room closet.
Just one bit of advice to those light sleepers out there: I'd request a room away from the center of the hotel, as the ice machine/vending is adjacent to the elevators, and can be rather noisy.
I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers, especially those who need to get into the city but do not have a car. Also recommended for couples wanting to save some money on the room and use the Metro to get around if sightseeing in D.C.
Metro fare from Eisenhower Ave. to the airport is about two dollars and is a ten minute ride.
It was everything I expected from a Marriott property.
