Stayed here 3 nights for a conference; booked two rooms for myself and a coworker. The hotel and rooms were well maintained. Front desk service was top notch: they were very helpful and polite. The free shuttle service was an incredible asset for my colleague and I, as we did not have a car. It's about a two minute ride from the hotel and the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station, as well as Ted's Montana Grill, San Antonio Grill, AMC Theater, Ruby Tuesday, Starbucks, and Cold Stone Creamery (all in a center across from station).

The breakfast buffet did not disappoint, although I felt it to be a little expensive. The hotel has a "Market" that has candy, snacks, and bottled beverages for purchase. The free warm cookies at the front desk were a pleasant treat.

Also a treat: the free high speed internet in the rooms (wired) and lobby (wireless) worked perfectly. An ethernet cable is provided in your room closet.

Just one bit of advice to those light sleepers out there: I'd request a room away from the center of the hotel, as the ice machine/vending is adjacent to the elevators, and can be rather noisy.

I highly recommend this hotel for business travelers, especially those who need to get into the city but do not have a car. Also recommended for couples wanting to save some money on the room and use the Metro to get around if sightseeing in D.C.

Metro fare from Eisenhower Ave. to the airport is about two dollars and is a ten minute ride.

It was everything I expected from a Marriott property.

Very pleasant stay with three generations in two connecting rooms. Internet met business needs, daughter used exercise room on top floor (with view), small grandchildren found food they liked at breakfast. Front desk very helpful with directions. Rates, for Washington area, were reasonable.

Exactly what you'd expect. Nice size rooms, very clean, polite and professional staff. Also, the price is right and the location is great.

Stayed here mid February, and the hotel was great. No flaws, clean room comfy bed. Everything that you would expect from Courtyard. Didn't eat the breakfast, it didn't seem like it was worth the price they were charging.

Also, the front desk had cookies out, and OMG the chocolate chip cookies were probably the best I ever had. The must have just cooked them, because they were melt in your mouth good.

Would stay again....

Eight-story building sandwiched between the Capital Beltway (I-95, I-495) and Eisenhower Avenue. For those without a car, the hotel’s shuttle service on request will take you from and to the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station (third Metro stop from R. Reagan Washington National Airport) and also into and from Old Town Alexandria. (The Yellow Metro train takes 20-25 minutes to stations either side of The Mall in DC proper.)

If you walk to the hotel from the station (about 15 minutes), head towards to the Holiday Inn and continue past it over the bridge to the other side where you will find the Courtyard Marriott.

Rooms on the quieter side of the hotel face Eisenhower Avenue and from the uppermost floors have a pleasant view. A gap between the bottom of the room door and the carpet can admit noise from the corridor. The eighth floor has the exercise room; you might want to avoid rooms adjoining, opposite or under it. The hotel provides free newspapers and 24-hour coffee-tea-chocolate at the entrance to the bar-TV area opposite the Reception desk. Good breakfast buffet.

For sightseeing in Alexandria, have the shuttle take you to the Potomac River waterfront and then wander along King street to browse at the shops. You can visit the George Washington Masonic National Memorial and also enjoy a beautiful view over the surrounding area. If you do not want to walk back to the hotel, phone to have the shuttle pick you up.
