Drive just 1/2 hour west of Dulles, and you are in peaceful VA countryside. Pull up to the Inn and you breathe a sigh of contentment. Already the travails of travel are slipping away. The innkeepers have created a most comfortable b&b atmosphere, with all the amenities, but keeping the quaintness of this historic set of buildings. They made our stay, providing the luxuries of a fine b&b and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The grounds and the buildings are fun to explore, as if you were in your little country estate in this charming tiny burg. There are generous beverages and afternoon snacks, and the breakfast was our most delicious all week: homemade biscuits, real grits, quiche... This pastoral setting will charm you and make it hard to leave. Be sure and visit the Aldie Mill, even if it's closed; the buildings are wonderfully restored and the grounds also fun to explore. The innkeepers also have an antique shop just a few doors down, fun to poke around for treasures in there. We've stayed in a lot of b&b's and this is tops on our list for all-around great experience. And the prices are so reasonable!
