Our family rented the entire Inn for the weekend. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The inn keepers were pleasant but not overly friendly.Breakfast each morning was delicious and presented very nicely. Homemade cookies were available throughout the day- a nice treat. I feel certain we would stay there again if the situation comes up.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night (too short) stay at the Afton Mountain B&B. The price was affordable, the decor was delightful and our hosts were charming. Each morning we were served a delicious homemade breakfast in an elegantly appointed dining room. (Note: the decor and rooms are even more beautiful than they look online.) Evenings were rounded out with homemade cookies and hot drinks on the sideboard just outside our room. Many other touches often not found at much more expensive B&B's abounded. Cleanliness and comfort were given great attention by the hosts. Highly recommended and we certainly hope to return ourselves as soon as possible.

The location and amenities of this bed and breakfast are fantastic. If you are interested in outdoor activities (skiing, hiking) or enjoying the area wineries, this is an excellent base location. The owners also do a nice job of taking care of little details to make your stay more enjoyable...cookies outside of your room, a plethora of drinks and teas, etc.

We had the pleasure of visiting Afton Mountain Bed and Breakfast over the weekend of November 11, 2005. Our hosts made us feel at home from the welcome at the front door to the coffee to go when we left for home. The 19th century period farm house has been beautifully restored. The accommodations are very comfortable and wonderfully appointed. We enjoyed the professionaly prepared breakfasts, the cookies and coffee/tea/hot chocolate/soft drinks in the afternoon. The early evening chats with the other guests in the parlor was a great finishing touch to an active day.

We highly recommend a stay at Afton Mountain Bed and Breakfast. Your hosts await you with a warm welcome and a beautiful home.

Afton is a quaint charming old farmhouse with wonderfully decorated victorian rooms. The hosts were very gracious and the food excellent. The living room decorations are not over whelming but rather sparce and tasteful. We were able to borrow CDs for the room. We used the living room to watch Casablanca and borrowed some wine glasses to drink local wine we had purchased at the wonderful Jefferson Winery. The room we stayed in was the Jefferson room and it had fine handpainted walls in a light green. The linens and towels were in very good taste and good quality. Each morning coffee, tea and assorted sodas were provided as well as a water cooler always available with hot and cold water--nice for a cup of tea in the afternoon after returning from a cold trip to Monticello, Michie Tavern and Monroe's house tour. Each morning breakfast was outstanding. A wonderful fruit compote followed by a cheese and ham omlette on Saturday in addition to scones!! Sunday the pumpkin waffles made from scratch were so filling there was no room until dinner.

For a terrific quiet unhurried get away this is the place to go.

What a wonderful way to celebrate my mother's 85th birthday. While traveling from Washington State we chose to stay at Afton Mountain B & B because of their impressive web site. They not only offered a place to stay but warm hospitality, an outstanding breakfast that was healthy and beautifully presented. They offered a birthday special which we chose to purchace that included flowers, wine and a gift certificate at a local resturant. The hosts put the flowers and her special wine in her room to honor her. She was truly touched. The room we chose for her was the Jefferson with the wheat trimmed poster bed. She had lived 32 years on a wheat farm. She stated that her room was the best. All three of us truly relaxed and felt like royality. Our hosts knew how to pamper us. The homemade cookies in the late afternoon along with multiple drinks were an added touch. Neat and tidy, well decorated, interesting conversations and the offering of great resturants close by added to the speciality of the B & B. We loved our stay at Afton Mountain B & B and hope to someday return.
