My wife is not much on B&Bs, since we have had some poor experiences in the last year. But after a relaxing weekend stay at the Afton Mountain B&B she is singing the praises of this GEM at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The owners, Orquida and Dan are wonderful and make you feel right at home. They have provided every imaginable convinence one could need and even have a swimming pool to use in the summer months. The breakfast both mornings was delicious, and they have the best coffee in the world.

There are numerious wineries in the area, Orquida recomended our new favorite the Hilltop Berry Farm & Winery. They have a great variety of fruit wines made from fruit grown on their property.

The Aftom Mountain B&B is worth trying, well worth the money.

If you're looking for comfort and serenity, this is the perect place. Beautifully restored victorian farmhouse in gorgeous setting. Large spacious bedrooms filled with antiques. Oversized, squeaky-clean bathroom with jacuzzi and shower. I certainly didn't need an alarm clock since I was awakened by delicious breakfast smells wafting up to my room, and breakfast was just as wonderful as the aromas promised. Dan and Orquida are congenial hosts and knowledgeable of area attractions. Very highly recommended.

All the best of a B&B. We stayed before Christmas and went back for another night during the New Year holiday. Quiet, comfortable and very well kept. Breakfast was outstanding. We plan to return many times again!

Just minutes from the Shenandoah National Park and several wineries, this B&B is a great stay with charming rooms and a warm welcome. Every morning started with a fabulous breakfast and good conversation with the other guests. The hosts are full of local information and ready with advice for planning your day or suggestions for dinner. A fabulous way to spend the weekend!
