“Not your standard brewery fare and spectacular views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

BMB is just the right distance from Lake Monticello up the right kind of roads (Plank Road is one of the earliest paved roads in Virginia and a fun motorcycle ride) for a mid-ride lunch. I had the avocado salad and it was delicious; just spicy enough, avocados fresh and flavorful. I passed on the beer this time but love their beers. Did you know that they grow their own hops onsite?

“Great beer in the heart of wine country”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

This was a great relaxing spot to have a casual bite to eat in-between our winery stops. 10 beers to sample in their flight! Pizza looked delicious although we opted for nachos on our visit. Very family-friendly -- lots of kids playing outside and plenty of outdoor dining space.

“Fantastic pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

We stopped in here while visiting the local wineries. They came highly recommended by a local and I was glad she did. The restaurant was packed inside and out (they even had parking attendants!), but we were seated fast, the service was quick. We ordered one of their speciality pizzas and it was fantastic! Very thin crust, so all the toppings stood out well. Don't think this is only pizza, the menu is quite large and of course there's plenty of local beer!! The outside seating area has a tremendous view.

If you're in the area, the Blue Mountain Brewery is a must!!!

“Sit back & relax”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

Spent a delightful day sitting outside enjoying a four star place that offered us fine variety of beer brewed right on premise and wine from local vineyard.

Food was soooo good and plentiful. We ordered cheese platter which was besides being good was enormous (2 people could eat it) another order humus plate and that was excelled also and plentiful too.
All good was homemade and made on premise. Another ordered turkey wrap (so big and fresh) that 2 shared that too. What was even greater was that no one ruses you out. We sat and enjoyed the beautiful mountain site. Glorious day was had by all. This place needs no recommending people came from all over. Try it you will love it

“Pleasing Micro-brewery and Eatery”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Blue Mountain is a slightly upscale brewery and restaurant.
The food is real food, not bar food, and is reasonably good. A particular favorite of mine is their Cuban pressed ham sandwich, which is yummy. I'm not a beer guy, so I can't speak to that from experience, but my friends certainly seem to enjoy their offerings.
The restaurant is spacious, bright, and clean. Service is excellent. It is usually crowded, and no place for intimate gatherings, as it's quite noisy. The beer-only bar is also quite large. Prices are above average, but not untenable.
Overall, fine for evenings or a late lunch.
