Ive been to group tastings here, as well as individual tastings and special events. All were top notch.

The property is stunning inside and out. The wines are very tasty although a little pricey.

The Valentine's dinner I attended in 2006 was perfect! The atmosphere, the meal, everything! And is was priced way below all the competetors at about $60 per person including all the wine, tip, and tax.

They have concerts in the summer on the lawn and allow you to bring you own cooler, chairs, table etc.

My friends and I visited a couple vineyards in the area and loved this one. We sat through a wine tasting and I bought a great bottle of wine.

We visited Veritas along with several other central Virginia wineries over Memorial Day weekend. This was probably the prettiest in terms of setting and would make an excellent place not only for a picnic but for a wedding reception or other important event. The wines were quite good with a longer than usual tasting list. There is a $5 tasting fee that is waived with the purchase of a bottle. The wines were more expensive than the average winery in the area--mostly $20+ for a bottle. Despite all those positives we didn't have a very good experience at our tasting--the staff didn't seem to have a very organized system for serving people as they came in to do tastings such that we waited in line to start our tasting and then our hostess was serving us and 2 tables-worth of customers while the other two hostesses served 1-2 couples each. If not for this lapse in service I would probably have given them 5 stars. As it was, I didn't feel like they valued our patronage in the same way that the smaller up-and-coming wineries of the area did.

While there are many good wineries in Virginia's growing wine industry, few can match the scenery and top notch tasting room at Veritas.

Veritas has the best tasting room in terms of design, spaciousness, staff knowledgeability, decor, and service of the over 30 wineries we have visited in Va. The staff offers a thorough sampling of their very good wines and knows a lot about each variety.

We enjoyed grabbing a couple glasses of great wine, a very well put together gourmet cheese platter, and sitting outside in the sun at one of several picnic tables on the winery's grounds.
