Stayed on a weekend in January traveling through town.
We have stayed at other Comfort Suites and this one was slightly disappointing.
This is an older hotel that appears to have been renovated at some point. The rooms are now smoke-free, but ours did have a stale odor that it had been smoked in a some point. Beyond that, the suite was smaller than other CS hotels we stayed in. Bedding was very average. Some of the other CS hotels have upgraded bedding - this one did not.
Hot breakfast and staff were OK as well, but everything seemed to be just a notch below what we're usually used to in this chain.

A good value for the price...don't expect anything fancy.

PROS: Good price...convenient parking.

CONS: The pool and spa, although nicely sized for a facility of this size, were poorly maintained. There were old band-aids on the edge of
the far side of the pool for the two days we were there...they were obviously there for some time before we got there. Pretty gross...it would have taken one minute to go through with a broom on a daily basis. Also, the continental breakfast is nothing to write home about...I'm sick of hotels calling the breakfast a "hot breakfast" because they put out a self service waffle iron.

We travelled to Abingdon for an overnight trip. Hotel stay was so good that we ended up staying for 3 nights. Loved their Hot Breakfast. Had lots of fun in their indoor heated pool and hot tub. Brand new hotel at very reasonable rate.

I read the two previous reviews and all I can say is things have been fixed. My room was spotless, the service was great, the breakfast was as good as any I get anywhere else. I travel for business and spend about one week per month on the road. I will stay here anytime.
