We recently visited here with friends and I went with the intention of getting duck or prime rib...however, after realizing our host/owner was German and spotting several German dishes on the menu, I had to go that route.
First of all, I loved the atmosphere - the building is very old and has a very colonial feel, which I enjoyed a lot. The food was also great and I left happy and full. We tried the oysters Rockefeller, shrimp cocktail, weinerschnitzel and jagerschnitzel and everything was great. Entrees on the menu range from the low $20s to nearly $40, but the German selections were at the lower end of that spectrum and worth it.
If we visit Abingdon again, we'd be happy to return here.
