“Very good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

While the motel is a bit dated, the rooms were clean, the staff friendly and helpful, and the price very reasonable. They serve a very nice continental breakfast. For economical travel, I would definitely recommend it.

Not many amenities, but enough to sleep. Place is old and dated. Breakfast was simple, but I augment the protein by bringing my own bacon. The biggest hassle was with xpedia. I needed to cancel a night at this hotel. I called and they were OK with it. Called X and was on hold alot. They needed to call hotel. I got disconnected. I called back the hotel and they said they needed confirmation that X would not bill them for a commission for the room. Bottom line it took me 40 minutes to do this and I'm still not sure I'm not going to get billed by expedia for 2 nights here.

We normally stay at one of the more upscale hotels while in Abingdon. This time we opted for a less expensive place. While there's certainly nothing fancy about this place at all, it did provide a good nights sleep and hot shower the next morning. For the money it was a good deal.

We needed a place that accepts pets!! We have stayed at another pet friendly hotel and when I bid on priceline and got this one I was nervous. But once I walked in the room and saw how spacious it was and that it was clean I was very relieved. The room was actually nice, the bed were too springy for me and little uncomfortable, but I can handle that. The Front desk person was excellent and very accommodating. I would stay here again with no problem at all. They have a big grassy area where my Labrador loved playing Frisbee.

This was a great economical place to stay while we visited our son; we stayed 3 nights. Surprisingly quiet being so close to I-81. The room was clean, beds comfortable. The room was also spacious with microwave and refrigerator. The coffeepot needs to be cleaned with vinegar... Very slow making coffee; took about 30 minutes. Breakfast is minimal but sufficient. If you are a breakfast person Cracker Barrel is right next door. The staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. Worst part was carpet; feet get black going from bed to bathroom so we wore flip flops in the room. Need professional carpet cleaning at least once a month. Overall for the price this was a great value and we will stay again.

Room Tip: Room access is outside doors with stairs for upper level. No handicap accessible rooms but rooms ar...
