“Inn on Town Creek - THE place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2011

My wife and I just spent four glorious nights at the Inn on Town Creek in Abingdon, Va.. We stayed in the Hideaway Room. The house and grounds (all 4 acres) are absolutely marvelous. Make sure to check out the Redwood tree on the premises. We were treated very well and the breakfasts were outstanding. The furnishings in the house are a marvel to behold. There are things to see in the surrounding area not to mention the beauty of the mountains all around you. One of the big draws these days is the Virginia Creeper Trail which can be walked or enjoyed on a bicycle. I promise you we will return someday. You will not be sorry choosing the Inn on Town Creek.

“Exceptional!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2011

Maybe the best B&B we've ever stayed in. The owner and staff did a fine job of making us welcome. Our room was interesting and comfortable with lots of high-quality antiques and both a bath and a shower. The room was both cheerful and spotlessly clean. We had an early shuttle appointment for The Virginia Creeper Bike Trail, so the owner graciously rearranged the breakfast schedule to help us out. The wooded grounds are beautiful, and the historic Abingdon downtown is a short walk away. We look forward to staying there again soon.

We stayed here one night. The room and house was very clean and breakfast was very good. Would stay again if we are in the area.

“Great B&B on Beautiful Property!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2011

My girlfriend and I stayed for one night very recently, we chose the Terrace Side room with the huge king size bed. We loved it! The room itself was charming and comfortable, the atmosphere was calm and very quiet (although we were the only guests staying that night so we had the inn to ourselves). A nice feature was the jacuzzi in the back of the property, located in a greenhouse, it was clean and easy to operate and was great for a late night dip. The hospitality was the warm, friendly and pleasantly southern type you would expect from a place like Abingdon, Linda the innkeeper was kind and helpful in all ways possible! One of the main things to write home about regarding this place is the grounds of the property itself, wow! A professionally manicured landscape with a creek beautifully built up with stone walls, big shady trees over lush patches of grass make it a great place to stroll around and the bricked in back porch area is great for watching the stars at night. The breakfast was spectacular to say the least, with a blueberry/oatmeal/yogurt concoction to start out followed by fresh fruits and toast with sausage patties and and a sort of casserole type dish that I am forgetting the name of but it was really good!!!

“Nice Inn but choose your room wisely”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2011

Linda was a very gracious hostess and her breakfast was delicious. That being said, choose your room wisely when booking. We stayed in the "Hide Away" because of the twin beds for my teen daughters and the king for us. The latter was like sleeping on a counter top. I know there is such a thing as "firm" mattress" but we've never experienced anything this firm.

The other very odd thing about the "Hide Away" is the fact that your shower is located in full view of all room inhabitants! Want some privacy? Go into the tiny bathroom and wash up in the tub. Nice place but we'll forgo some antiques for comfort next time.
