We were vacationing throughout the New England states and chanced to find the Sugar Shack in Arlington, VT. We were greeted warmly by the shop keeper. There are two rooms dedicated to the Norman Rockwell artwork and his life while he lived in Arlington, VT. It was fascinating information and the shopkeeper could not have been more helpful. As a child, my parents subscribed to the Saturday Evening Post magazine and I can remember enjoying Norman Rockwell's covers. This visit told the story of how local Arlington residents posed for Norman Rockwell's paintings and what pride they held in being a part of his artistry. That evening we dined at Jonathon's Table, in the same building. It was a splendid meal in an enchanting environment. We will always remember the Sugar Shack of Arlington, Vermont--what a treasure it was to find!
