I have honestly never been so dissatisfied with a hotel stay in my life. I paid $280 for a two room suite. It did have two rooms... which couldn't have been bigger than 12x15 each. I was supposed to have a lake view, or a view of downtown. I had a view of a parking ramp. The furniture was very cheap and the rooms haven't been updated since 1990 at best. The toilet didn't work, there was no information about the hotel or any visitor information in my room, and my Sleep Number control didn't work.
I insisted on moving to another room the following morning since I got in late, and they said, "Oh, you have one of the small suites." They moved me into another "small suite" (that at least had a view of the lake) until a larger one (which I had paid for) was available. Well, the wireless internet didn't work in that room. The person at the front desk was unbelievably worthless and said, "It's working fine for everyone else. We don't have anything to do with the internet service... here's the 800 number." After wasting 2 hours trying to trouble shoot the problem, I brought my laptop down to the lobby and it worked fine, so it was just that room that didn't have coverage. I would have contacted Expedia and changed hotels, but I had already wasted 1/2 a day of my "vacation" dealing with this crap.
They finally moved me into the "normal" suite. At least it was large, which you'd expect... but still very "cheap" in appearance and quality. The ONLY thing I enjoyed about the hotel was the Sleep Number bed (the one that actually worked) and the location.
I'm not sure if it had to do with booking the room through Expedia, or what, but I was treated horribly and not so much as an apology of any kind. And to top it off, they charged me $10 extra per day for the Internet service! I'm not a fussy person, but when you pay almost $300 a night, you should DEFINITELY expect more than what I got. Avoid if at all possible and stay at one of the newer hotels nearby. (Hyatt, Embassy Suites are comprably priced and HAVE to be better than the Radisson.)
