“Not a 2.5 star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Booked this motel via Expedia; it was listed as a 2.5 star and turned out to be a 2 star.

The room was clean and relatively comfortable; it had a HD TV, comfortable bed and very nice pillows. Unfortunately, I had a room on the first floor and crickets entered the room each day. The motel must have a very good vector control because each evening when I returned, I would see dead crickets in the room. I guess if you take a room on the second floor you won’t share your room with crickets and beetles.

The Continental breakfast is average and I had a hard time finding hot water for the oatmeal or tea; otherwise, the Eggo style waffles and French toast were quite tasty.

The room was a great value, next door to Dennys and adjacent to the Fwy. There are lots of places to eat within minutes and a movie theater within walking distance. No complaints about the area but there was security in the parking lot. Very large bathrooms in the rooms. I really appreciated the thermostat on the A/C which worked to perfection. I hate when you have to cut off the A/C so you can sleep.

No refrigerators or microwaves in the room.

Room Tip: Ask for the second floor

We have stayed in several Baymonts and so far we have been very satisfied but this one is a run down joint!

1) very dirty carpet. After a few steps our feet were dirty!
2) we had to plunge the toilette several times.
3) mold in the shower
4) faucet and showerhead both not working properly.
5) lousy roomservice. there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom that was not removed all 3 nights we stayed there.

the only upside was the HDTV in the Room.

This was just a one night stay over on to our destination. Property was clean and staff friendly. Free breakfast had plenty of choices along with free WiFi. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: There is no elevator in this hotel so if you don't do stairs well you should ask for 1st floor.

I'm not going to say this is a fancy place but it is hard to beat this deal on a budget motel. Decent location near the highway but you can't hear the highway noise. The internet and cable work and it is a nice TV. The maids did their job and nothing disappeared from our room. The rooms have exterior doors and you can park by your room. I found the front desk staff extremely nice and accommodating. Really the only negatives were that our non-smoking room smelled slightly of smoke, the bathtub did not drain well, and the breakfast was marginal at best. But hey, it was free coffee and if you stick to the peanut butter and bread (for the kids) and oatmeal for the adults you'll be just fine.

I recently stayed at the Baymont Inn in Austin and would have left if it hadn't been late when
I checked in. The hotel looks as though nothing had been replaced or been repainted in the last twenty years. The tub was gray, mattress and dust ruffle stained, walls were paper thin and the neighborhood run-down. The manager seemed totally uninterested in my complaints, and a complaint to the Wyndham Hotel group did not result in the promised contact from the Baymont's general manager. I doubt if I will ever stay in another Baymont Inn.

This One Sweet Inexpensive Hotel. It's immaculate and a pretty good breakfast is included.

Room Tip: I prefer ground floor because it's pretty tough for seniors to carry luggage up steps.

I visited this crap hole with my family. If the kids weren't so tired I'd never stayed until morning! Bath was nasty and water trapped under the plastic tube it a hazard. The water pushes up the tub, like standing on a waterbed. Very dangerous!!! The water that gushes up when you stand in the tub is putrid. Had to put a towel at the door to avoid the odor. Never again.
