“Good location, but hotel quality continues to slip.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Have stayed at this LQ a few times over several years, since it is centrally located to projects I work at. While still a good price, the hotel is past due a serious remodel especially for the rooms. The baths are a little moldy at the caulk lines and the fixtures are worn and aged. Bed has that lumpy slumped areas from many quests and need to be replaced. Noise level has increased. Lawn care workers starting work at 7am during last visit. Next trip I plan to look around at other hotels.

Had to find a place quickly.
Staff was friendly and spoke English with no accent.
Rooms were clean, linens and bed were comfortable.
Continental breakfast was ok.
Location was good.
Great value for the money.
After the motel experience the previous night, this was very welcome and appreciated.

We didn't have as bad an experience as others seem to have had; however, in my traveling experience, I have stayed in some truly awful hotels (and some truly awesome ones, too), so my perspective is likely different than other reviewers.

For what it was, this was not a bad hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, and it is an older property right by the interstate. The room was adequately clean, and we didn't see any bugs in our room. The room was quite a bit smaller than some of the newer La Quinta hotels we stayed at during our road trip, but not unusual for hotels in that age range.

The staff during check-in and check-out were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was some road noise from the interstate and parking was limited in the section of the hotel where our room was located. I didn't see it, but my husband said the pool looked pretty nice.

Room Tip: Try to get a room as far from the interstate as possible to avoid road noise.

Rooms are adequate. Breakfast area is dirty, floors are dirty. At check out they told my sister-in-law they stop accepting cash. (!!!) Really??? We want to pay cash! We didn't have time to argue. I paid the room and left. Never again. Such a disappointing La Quinta.

I'm not a fan of motels to begin with, but this one was just terrible. The rooms aren't clean, and the bathrooms are tiny. The breakfast isn't really breakfast, but cold muffins and mini cereal boxes. Stay elsewhere.

Do not stay at this hotel, room very musty, carpet filthy, bathroom too small and walls sweated while taking shower and air vent did not work. Found big cockroach crawling on bed and sheets first thing in morning. Could see daylight coming in from the door and wondering how many critters were coming in throughout the night. Have stayed in other La Quinta's and was very disappointed in this hotel, very old. Did not have breakfast in the lounge, ready to checkout and to a much cleaner establishment. Mattress needs to be replaced.

Room Tip: Don't know if there are any good rooms?
