Just spent a whirlwind 36 hours in Austin for my company, landing at 8am on a Thursday morning and going straight to meetings that didn't wrap up until after 6pm. By the time I stumbled into this Hampton Inn I was ready to drop. Sweetheart of a desk clerk (wish I had gotten his name!) had keys in my hand in about a minute and I went gratefully to my room on the 4th floor. I was very pleasantly surprised at the size, decor, and comfort of the room. 2 very cushy double beds (with three pillows on each--a big hit with this self-confessed pillow hog). LOVED the bathroom with large vanity and 3-way mirror. Took a quick shower to wash off the travel funk and walked over to Chili's for dinner, then came back and settled into bed with the oh-so-convenient lap desk to read some stuff for Friday meetings. Slept like a rock--the bed was that comfortable--and got off to a great start Friday morning. Not a breakfast person but did get an "on the run" bag with banana, bottled water and cereal bar from the front desk. Got stuck in traffic on the way to my meeting and was glad I had it.
I am fairly new to business travel and this was my first stay with this brand. I will definitely stay with Hampton Inns again.
