“East Austin Freshly Made”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

I've been going to Blue Dahlia since it opened, and I can't say anything bad about it. I'm a vegetarian, and there are plenty of healthy, well-prepared options on the menu. I absolutely love their brunch specials on the weekend. Good food.

“absolutely awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2013

We went for lunch and were warmly welcomed by the staff. Drinks (water) was served immediately along with the menu's. The waiter was knowledgable on the menu and answered all questions with authority. The four of us each had a different sandwich plate and the plating was beautiful....The smoked salmon with herbed cream cheese was wonderful along with all the other types from ham, chicken salad with grapes all was just great. All ingredients were as fresh as possible and most was organic. The bread was great although they did not bake it. And, the prices were very reasonable.

“Completely AWFUL!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

Our server was RUDE. When she failed to get our order correct, she blamed us. When asked to repeat the specials for the day, she told us we should have asked her to speak louder. Everyone who ordered soup, got it COLD---we were just so starved by waiting so long for our order that we ate it anyway. I had the chicken salad sandwich---blech! It was dry and nothing in the "salad" but shredded chicken and mayonnaise topped with a few dried cranberries. It looked like something my five-year-old would have made. The prices are very high for the food you get. They won't divide the check but expect customers to do the math for them---with current food ordering software in place by restaurants, this is lazy and inexcusable. Oh yes, and automatic gratuity built in. If you want yummy food served by nice people who are working hard to please you---STAY AWAY FROM BLUE DAHLIA! (Westlake location)

“Good food in a comfortable setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Had dinner with a group of seven in the Blue Dahlia and was really pleased with the quality of the food. The coq au vin and mussels were very nice but the beef was also quite good. Understood from a friend that all ingredients are organic but even if that is not true the food is worth a visit. The desert menu also have some well proportioned European options. Overall the food is a nice mixture of French/Italian and some British food (bread pudding). Parking can be a bit of an issue
