“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Started with a sharing platter of spicey cheese fries, then all 4 of us had the rib eye steak with sides, steaks were really tasty and huge for the price.Could not fault the service as was first class. The margaritas are very good value and the strawberry ones are particularly nice.I like the whole ambience of the place even though it is a large chain it does not feel like it.They have lovely fish tanks in the walls, very relaxing atmosphere, would definitely eat here again.

“Nice Variety, Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Always enjoy the Chicken Pot Pie and the Monte Christo sandwiches. You can't find either of those on many menus and they are both very tasty. This is a restaurant where you can get a salad as a side, and with that comes a drizzled crousant - be sure to ask for it. Save room for the apple pie; you won't want to split it, but its too much for one person.

“Large Portions,Good Food for Cheap”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

I only had the fried fish tacos there, but they were amazing! Good light breading with yummy sauce. And the portions are huge for an inexpensive price! I saw the fried chicken and mashed potato plates and it looked like they could feed three! The wait was a little long for lunch, but I thought it was worth it.

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Cheddar's is a chain restaurant. Sometimes you feel like eating at a chain restaurant and Cheddar's will fit the bill. They have very inexpensive margaritas. Like many restaurants, iced tea and soda are overpriced. Spinach artichoke dip is tasty. And they've got a really good chicken pot pie that comes with a nice salad.

“Great food at a reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2012

Excellent staff and great food make Cheddar's quite popular, although I tend to eat there during the off-peak hours. Even so, the food is always fresh, and the staff is always friendly and courteous. For a chain, Cheddar's is atypical--it really is run by a local manager who keeps the place uniquely Austin. And while I think that people of any age can enjoy Cheddar's, the older you are, the more you will appreciate the menu, which contains real food choices that you don't find at most chains.
