I have seen the Austin Bats for many years in that spot they fill on the news every year. I finally got my chance to see them. It was unlike anything I have ever seen before. It is no wonder many people come to see them, 100,00 a year. The wait can be long, they fly out 30 mins before sundown. Tips would be bring a snack or drink. Look for the worn spot on the grass. The best sopt we found was off the walking trail in front of the Radisson and TGI Fridays. Look for the worn grass and plop down and wait. The crowds will start aweing and you know they are coming out. It is something else to see in person. There were a lot of kids and they loved it too.
