“Nice park be careful on the park roads”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

This is a nice park right in Austin close to shopping and services. The restrooms and shower are individual and very clean. Passport rates good for area. The only downside are the park roads. They are paved but are very uneven and have quite high speed bumps. Other than that a good park

Stayed 5 nights here in a kozy cabin during 2013 F1 race. Was basic but ample. Note it was just my husband and I and our stuff filled the one room. There was a queen bed and a bunk bed. Loved the wooden swing on the porch and the wooden desk inside. It's a walk up the hill to the bathroom. Was awkward to wash your own dishes as there was no kitchen facilities. Beds were actually quite comfy but bring your own pillows. Was a grill outside but we never could find a place to buy charcoal bricks. Nice secure location but ask to be at a cabin further back on the property. The noise from the highway kept me awake at night. Was annoyed the pool was only open till 5.30pm and the office never seemed to be open when I needed a coffee. But that's probably more the early mornings and late nights that our schedule mandated. Would stay at again. Was about 20mins drive to the track.. If you didn't have any traffic.

Stopped here in October for 2 nights. Pulled into the drive and their staff was out there to meet us and guide us to our spot! Very impressed. Super clean, well kept, and pretty spot, convenient to downtown Austin by Austin Public Transit. There is a bus stop about half a mile a way and the ride to downtown is about 30 minutes for the cost of $1.00 each way. There is also a large grocery store next door, HEB for all you needs.

As many of you, we have stayed in many RV parks driving back and forth across the country. Why, if I were you would I stop at this one. Well, that is easy. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate and there are many of them. The park is clean and comfortable, they have an active staff that keeps things under control and repaired.
Their staff is knowledgeable about the area and they all pitch in when you ask them a question.

Their prices are reasonable. With Good Sam we paid $39 total a night. The night before we spent $40 at the Texas State Campground, Cedar Ridge in Dallas. Nice place, but come on they charged us each, $5.00 for admission into their park in addition to the campground fees. Yipes!

Ok they got a few more trees, but there are a lot of trees at Lone Star, with grass and it is a very comfortable environment. I will definitely stay here again and if you have not tried it, you should too.
