“Sadly, its not been as good lately...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

This was for several years one of our very favorites in Austin. The lake, the drinks, the view, the fun staff, the food, all good. However, on the last two occassions the staff was more interested in their own conversations and the food could only pass for so-so. We'll try it one more time in the summer when its wonderful to be on the water, but I'm afraid its glory days may have passed. Instead we highly recommend Manuel's downtown for unique Mexican food and Botticelli's on South Congress for an amazing Italian experience.

“Pretty Good Food-Awesomoe Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Here is another place where the food is decent but the location is awesome. It is always lively here-service is consistently quick and good. Great lunch spot for business.

“Nice location - pretty good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This is a big tourist place because it's on the water so it's a pleasant place to dine. Go during a weekday to avoid crowds. They have good drinks and tasty tacos. The avocado was delicious, as was the fish taco. Service was excellent - which seems to be the case in just about every restaurant in Austin.

“Hula Hut a hit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

The Hula Hut, on the banks of Lake Austin, serves up plentiful helpings of food, drink and atmosphere! Dining with a party of 6, the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The menu is a fusion of Hawaiian and Mexican foods. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and the atmosphere was different but fun.
