Searsucker was delicious. They timed the plates perfectly and made the experience feel very special.
We started with a complimentary cheddar puffers and the 'no shishito “schoos” peppers' which were delicious. Then we moved to the 'short rib “Shiner Bock” + horseradish + fried onion' which may have been the BEST thing we had all night. So tender, so delicious. GREAT texture. Then we had the AMAZING, BUT super salty 'duck fat fries + tomato jam' and the 'fried brussels + walnuts' and the 'carb free blue crab cake + tabascco caviar'. The only thing we didn't love was the crab cake. The flavor was off. Texture was good...but it was missing something.
Brussel sprouts were phenomenal! Fries were good, but they give you a TINY amount of dipping sauce for the amount of french fry given. I think they would be better with more than one sauce or with more of the sauce served.
We ended with the 'field greens + strawberry + goat cheese + walnut' which was a really nice way to complete the meal. It was light and delicious.
Overall, I would definitely go back...but there are some things I wouldn't re-order (crab cake, french fries, cheddar puffers). I will return for another meal where I try the entrees.
Of note: shares valet with Kenichi, costs $8 on week days
