“Super food at a great price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

The food is great and reasonably priced. My fav is the Enchiladas Chiapas, but, truthfully, I've never had a bad meal here. It's local and it's good!

“Great Tex-Mex/Mex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

I like Curra's because it's more than just your average Tex-Mex. They have some good interior Mexican food as well. Cabrito is good as are the open-faced sandwiches (from the appetizer menu).

“Old Favorite, Give it a Try!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

I've been eating here for what seems like twenty years now! I remember before it even moved to this location. I remember the other location up north (which I miss!) They have some unique menu items that make it worth a visit such as a breakfast plate with refried black beans, platanos and a chipotle based sauce. (Huevos Motulenos) This is probably the best Mexican breakfast spot in town, though there are plenty of other less costly down home options such as Juan in a Million. Wide selection of tortillas and beans which is nice! They do everything well other than the chips. While a lot of places use ones just like this, they just don't seem the best to me in terms of flavor, they are white corn instead of yellow corn which makes them a bit bland, but you might like them. The mole is very good also, some of the best in town.

“Lots of locals, lots of visitors”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

This is an excellent, slightly off-the-path place that deserves its popularity. We tend to take visiting friends here, as its pretty Austin-y, without being tourist-y.

The Avocado margaritas (hey, dont knock it until you try it!) and the Cochinita Pibil are two favorites for us, and our out-of-town visitors, too.

I will caution that Sat and Sun brunch thru late lunch can be a wait, but we find it worth it.

“Great food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Not your traditional tex-mex. It's a little more interior Mexican. Service is not top notch and the tables are a little run down . . . but that's how all the best dives are in Austin.
