Sway is a convivial place to go with friends who enjoy sharing food together. Large communal tables and benches aren't the most comfortable seating arrangements, and may be off-putting for some people. The light level is super dim, and the noise level is noisy. This is a party type place, not too good for a first date, something romantic, or for older folks.
Drinks are well curated, with a great selection of beer, wines, and interesting cocktails. They also have Kombucha and "drinking vinegar" which I stayed away from.
The food was absolutely amazing! The best Tom Kha I have ever tasted. The Salt and Pepper presentation, while seeming simple, was balanced perfectly. The Pear Chicken, Son in Law, and Pad Thai, were rock solid, and all flavorful in their own way. I would order all of these again in a heartbeat. For dessert we got the semifreddo and tapioca. Both were great, though the tapioca was the favorite.
Service was wonderful, our waiter was excited about the food, and guided us though the menu. Whenever a new dish hit the table, the runners explained what it was and what was in it. We always had a full bottle of water on the table, so important with the many spicy dishes.
It was a great experience, anyone who has even a passing appreciation of Thai cuisine should try Sway.
