On an in-passing recommendation we tried Ramos Tex-Mex #3. It's around the corner from our house. Typical for strip-mall restaurants the decor is plain - but is it decor or food & service you go for? I go for the food - and we will be back because of service.
Our server was friendly and you can tell he was passionate about the food he was serving. As we ordered he smiled as if to say, "you're going to like that."
Like it? Loved it. The jalapeno ranch with the chips and salsa was very good - only a little bite.
The salsa was a mild - perfect if you're not wanting to burn your mouth before dinner.
The food was delivered in perfect pace, allowing us time to visit. Then the food arrived hot, home-made and delicious. (A little on the temperature hot - so careful about that) other than that the food prepared by hand (and you can tell) homemade tortillas, using fresh ingredients - and very tasty. I want to try the tortilla soup, apparently a popular item, and breakfast tacos on Saturday are likely to come from Ramos.
I can't wait to go back for more fresh delicious food. My 5yr old was treated well, able to sit in the back and watch cartoons (not sure if that's a norm, but they were not crowded when we went). Again we were happy to have found this little gem, and right in our back yard.
ALSO very tasty for our pocket-book. Another welcome surprise.
