Wild About Music is the kind of store you could peruse for hours. It is a music lover's heaven (or a music lover's lover's heaven). The store has pretty much every weird thing you could possibly want that has to do with music (except the actual musical instruments).
Wild About Music has music-themed clothes (like suspenders, shirts, neckties, etc with piano keyboards printed on them, or faces of famous composers). They have local art (melted vinyl records to use for chips and dip, 1950's TV consoles turned into aquariums, clocks made out of old turntables). At the counter is a huge and strange array of jewelry... itty bitty microphones, necklaces made out of that plastic thingamajob that allowed you to play a 45rpm on a 33rpm turntable. Earrings made out of guitar picks, Xmas-ornaments of your favorite instruments.
All around the store is wild wall art, metal work and 3-d renderings of jazz musicians, or reels of film . Upstairs, you can get bizarre guitar straps and backpacks/bags with the logo of favorite old groups. They even have glass frames for you to mount your favorite old lp on the wall. They have stationery and lunch boxes, ice cube trays in the shape of guitars, and a whole section of Texas based Music (Elvis, Buddy Holly, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc.).
This is pretty much the perfect place to get presents for the music lover who has everything. They are constantly changing their stock, so it is fun to see what's new every month or so.
