“Worst Hotel Experience ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2006

I've stayed in some bad places in my life. One time I stayed at a hotel that actually had roaches. But this place was actually so bad that I checked out half an hour after I got to the place. It was that bad. The place stunk, is in a bad neighborhood, the linens and towels looked like they hadn't been washed in some time. Just a terrible experience.

Avoid this place at ALL COSTS. Stay in an alley, you're better off.

Thought we would try to save $20-30 bucks on hotel while in town to watch the UT football game(especially with the gas prices like they are). The pictures they have on their website do not tell the whole story. The place is dirty. It's like a bad Motel 6. The front desk is S_L_O_W!!! They also charge an additional $2.50 when you checkout. They call it an aminity fee. Asked why they didn't just add it into the price of the room to avoid the HASSELL of having to go back to the front desk, they said they "didn't want it to look like they raised the rates". Isn't that what they did!?!?! Anyway, the room was dirty. It's right off the highway(which is no big deal). On one side, the side we stayed on, the hotel is seperated from a trailor park by a concrete wall with barbwire fence at the top. Not really what you want to see when you get out of your truck to go into your room. Spend the extra $20 and stay somewhere else!!!

Sloppy renovation that is still in progress, but of course they don't tell anyone this. The complimentary breakfast was non-existent (they had closed it down), it appears they increased their normal rate by about double due to a 40,000 person rally that weekend. Filthy dirty carpet that actually stunk near the bath area. Returned to the room at 5:30 pm on the second day to find NO bath linens. When we called we were told they were still in the dryer. Check-in and -out times were 15-20 minutes, could never speak to the front desk because they were constantly understaffed. We were charged an additional amenities fee of $2.50 per day (for what, towels?). This MOTEL gives all 2-2 1/2 star hotels out there a BAD reputation. If I were a Hampton Inn, Courtyard Inn, etc. I would be screaming for the travel websites to get this one off. Finally, a least one of the photos doesn't even belong to this hotel.

We booked 2 rooms for memorial day weekend, 2005. We called the hotel on the way to confirm that our rooms were still available, and the lady at the front desk said they had no record of us. We told her that was fine, as long as they did not run our card. She said that wouldn't be a problem, but sure enough the next Wednesday there is a charge on our card for the 2 rooms. They didn't have our reservation, but they sure had enough of our information to take $150 dollars out of our account. When I called to fix the problem, there was not a manager around. The staff had no idea when a manager would be there, I was told to call back at another time. Each time I called, they said another time would be the best time to call. The problem has yet to be resolved, stay away from this place at all cost.

We booked our rooms 2 weeks in advance. When we got there we waited for 45 minutes to check in with only 2 people ahead of us in line. There was not a continental breakfast as we had been told. They also failed to mention the 2.50 amenities charge. No big deal, but would have liked to have been advised. The staff for the most part was either rude or very abupt. The rooms were extremely small. (Couldn't sit at the table AND open the door.) The carpets were in need of cleaning and/or replacing. Very disappointed. We will find someplace else to stay the next time we are in Austin.

Dirty carpet, bed sheets and pretty much everything else except bathroom. No working modem cable, the breakfast is not worth even talking about, you are better off boiling water in your room. It is cheap, but for $20 more you can find a much more pleasant place to spend a night.
