We booked our rooms 2 weeks in advance. When we got there we waited for 45 minutes to check in with only 2 people ahead of us in line. There was not a continental breakfast as we had been told. They also failed to mention the 2.50 amenities charge. No big deal, but would have liked to have been advised. The staff for the most part was either rude or very abupt. The rooms were extremely small. (Couldn't sit at the table AND open the door.) The carpets were in need of cleaning and/or replacing. Very disappointed. We will find someplace else to stay the next time we are in Austin.

Dirty carpet, bed sheets and pretty much everything else except bathroom. No working modem cable, the breakfast is not worth even talking about, you are better off boiling water in your room. It is cheap, but for $20 more you can find a much more pleasant place to spend a night.

Stayed at the Best Value over Presidents Day weekend, 2004. For $46/night, you can't beat it! My King leisure room was quite large and comfortable and was recently remodeled (the hotel used to be a Holiday Inn). Came with all the extra amenities including coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer, etc. Convenient location off I-35 about 5 miles north of downtown Austin. Many restaurants and stores nearby and a large mall across the highway. Although the hotel is right off noisy I-35, my room was tucked away in a secluded courtyard that afforded plenty of peace and quiet. Staff is friendly and attentive. There is a modest continental breakfast in the lobby. Hotel appears to have a lot of repeat business.
