“Very nice, indeed!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

I recently moved to Austin from another state and found this hotel quite by accident! Glad I did! The renovation process they went through several months ago was a pain for this resident! I will admit that once it was completed the rooms are nicely decorated and the landscaping has a much improved appearance!

I love the new staff! Chantell is a super Manager. Patient, kind, and understanding. Gloria, Renee, and Connie are gems! Jim and Mr. Jones are "jonny on the spot" maintainance guys! Nice men, also!

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a nice place where "friendly" abounds!

Stayed one night during a family reunion in area. Clerk Gloria at front desk very friendly and helpful. Check in easy. Room was much smaller than I thought it would be. I've stayed in La Quinta and Red Roof Inns that were larger. Room clean and very nice, just small. Had to go to desk to get shampoo. Heard another guest asking for coffee for in room coffee maker since his room had none. Bed is so close to AC unit that the bedspread clogged up the intake and the unit cut itself off during the night. Breakfast okay (muffins, instant oatmeal) but I had to ask them to put out more muffins and coffee. Barking dog in nearby room woke us at 11, but staff called the room and I guess they took care of it. This is hotel is not AT and Arboretum, but SOUTH of it four or five exits. Paid just under $80. Would not stay there again because you can stay in larger room in a different chain for less.

Room Tip: Stay at a different hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay. I am sorry to hear that you will not be returning to our hotel. We strive to make our hotel a home away from home. I apologize that we did not mention that we offer larger rooms. Your reservation was for queen standard which is our smallest room type. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience at our hotel the next time you're in town. I hope that you will contact me directly, at bur@extendedstay.com , should you wish to discuss this further. Thank you again for providing us with your feedback.

I booked a room with 2 double beds and a sleeper through Priceline. Rooms in Austin were high priced because of the United States Grand Prix. When we checked in they only had a room with a king bed. They offered to give us the 2 doubles the second night for free if we would take the king room the first night. We agreed, but the next day they still didn't have a double room so they gave us another king room at no charge. At check out they agreed to not charge for one night, but we had to call Priceline for a refund which was given. The hotel and room were okay. Hot shower and clean linens. The hallway really stunk the first night, but appeared to clear up some with time. Maybe someone cooked something greasy, it is an extended stay place with stove tops. They do offer good friendly service and try to make up for customer's concerns. By the way, this is for Austin Arboretum North, not South.

I recently received a copy of your review of the Extended Stay America Austin - Arboretum - North. Our company prides itself on excellent guest service, so it was gratifying to read your feedback about our staff. I would like to give you my most heartfelt apology regarding the part of your stay that was not satisfactory. Given the nature of our business, oftentimes our guests are not certain of their check-out date when they book their reservation. We work hard to verify whether checked-in guests need to extend their departure date. However, in very rare cases such as yours, an unexpected number of guests extend their stays simultaneously and we are unable to force them to check-out, resulting in an over-booked situation. It's not common that we get the sort of feedback you provided, and although it is discouraging to read, it will help us make our hotel even better in the future. Let me apologize again that your stay was not completely satisfying, and assure you that we will continue to listen to our guests in forums like this one or directly (please visit our website and click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page). I hope we have addressed your concern satisfactorily, and that you would give us the pleasure of having you as a guest again at this hotel or any other Extended Stay Hotels(sm) brand location in the future.

stayed for about 3 days. Probably the best in the immediate area. Doesn't have ammenities like gym, pool etc like a normal hotel but the rooms are like studio apts and makes it more comfortable. When I stayed they were doing renovations so there was a lot of construction equipment/worker around but the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I do recommend.

It was very kind of you to take the time to publish such a positive review of your stay. It's always satisfying to read positive feedback from our valued guests, like you. Although some companies run extravagant advertising campaigns for their hotels, we believe that the best kind of marketing is the public praise we get from our millions of happy customers. Our company motto is "Excellence Every Day, Every Way," and my promise to you is that we will continue to operate according to this practice; after all, that's how Extended Stay Hotels got to be the largest extended stay lodging brand in North America. It would, of course, be our pleasure for you to repeat your experience with us in the future. Thank you once again, and feel free to reach out to us directly if we can assist you in any of your future travels.

Extended Stay America - Austin - Arboretum - South is an excellent place to stay for short or long term stays.

It is quiet and off the beaten path. All the guests are mostly businessmen and businesswomen or adults on assignments in Austin, so there is always a feel of peace and quiet.

In other words, this Extended Stay America at Austin Arboretum South feels like a true getaway place, as opposed to being just another hotel.
