“Trendy, comfortable hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

I stayed here for 3 nights while in Austin for a work conference. The hotel is trendy and modern, and has a very cool vibe to it. The room was nicely decorated, spacious, and practical -- it had a nighstand charger available for every type of phone. I enjoyed using the lemon scented Bliss bath products and comfy robe. The roof-top pool and bar were cool. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful with arranging rides in the W Acura and giving directions and restaurant reservations. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is the newest & hottest hotel in Austin, directly in competition w/the Four Seasons, which has been there for many years & is very traditional. Usual W experience: stylish people, sophisticated & very modern decor, young & hip staff, interesting menu. I had an accessible room so it was probably larger than most, very spacious. Bathroom has almost no counter space, but that might be b/c it was accessible. Kind of dark w/all that concrete & targeted lighting. I had problems w/the Internet but the IT guy was great & got it resolved immediately. Very slow service at breakfast but the food was excellent. If price is no object & you want to see the beautiful people in Austin, definitely stay here.

Love this hotel. Came to town for business and brought my wife and daughter for a UT tour and the Baylor game. Love the location, the vibe and especially the Staff. They treated us like regulars. Great outdoor dinning and the lobby bar is a great gathering area. Very attentave and informative. I especially appreciate the time Jeff Barron spent with us describuing the hotel features & the fun places in town. The game day shuttle to the staduim was a great perk. My wife is hooked on the coffee and we appreciate the 7 AM sevice in the lobby.

I was very impressed with this W. The common spaces were large and had the classic W modern feel that still kept true to Texas. I was upgraded to a 1-bed suite which made it easier for my friends to sprawl out and enjoy our 1-night stay. The bathroom was quite large which never surprises me with Ws as they know the importance of a sexy bathroom that looks out into downtown.

Room Tip: Have brunch at the hotel. It's cheaper than you might think and it's GOOD.

Stayed here for a girls getaway for 4 days. Attentive, friendly, helpful service, big modern rooms. All the amenities. Loved the location for walking Austin. Plenty of delicious food choices near the hotel and easy walking to the music clubs.

I was standing in a long line during ACL weekend and then I was introduced to "Port".

Not only was he attentive but he asked me a few questions about what i like and then made the perfect cocktnail.

So thank you
Best cocktail I've had in town!
Definitely going to come back to get a drink from Port!
