“Great place to run, despite being crowded”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

Escaping from a chilling winter, I had the chance to go to this trail last weekend, and it was great.

The trail is crowded, with lots of people running and walking at different speed, but nevertheless it was very enjoyable running the 7 miles around the lake (or should I say, Colorado River?)

“Great place to stay fit with great views of the lake and town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

Austin loves to stay fit, and if you are a local or a visitor downtown, this is a great place to stroll, ride, or run. Nestled between sky scrapers and the 'lake" (it looks a lot like a river) you can stay in the shade on a hot day and put in a couple of miles with a lot of like minded folks. Only issue is finding parking if you drive down, especially on a week day. There is a parking garage on 2nd and San Antonio two blocks up from sort of a mid point... I prefer walking the stretch between I-35 and 1st Street

“Beautiful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

Great experience if you're looking for something active to do on your visit to Austin. Great trail, beautiful lake, and people young and old everywhere. So glad we took some time to do to this on our weekend trip to Austin!

“Very nice trail for a walk or jogging”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

The trail is beautiful situated by the lake.
On a sunny day people take a walk, walk their dogs , or jogging.
Personally, I like kayaking , there are a couple of kayak rental services in the area.

“a nice walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2014

I had never visited this trail until this most recent Austin trip. It was a great walk because you see quite a bit of Austin, quite a bit of nature, and some fun dog parks.
