“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

The LBJ presidential library is a great historical treasure. There is so much information and educational perspectives to keep you engaged for hours. There are three main floors to browse. You have to start on the first floor and start with the opening presentation to inspire your soul for the civil rights movement.
I went with my mother-in law and she was so excited about this place. It is huge and there are phones to pick up and hear conversations of LBJ with other leaders. On the 10th floor is a great sweeping view of downtown Austin and the UT campus. It is definitely worth your time. Parking is easy and it is very close. The campus is just around the corner. My wife was in a wheelchair and she was able to take the elevator to all the floors and there were also bathrooms on certain levels. Great people at the library.

“Excellent presidential library”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

The museum was located right on UT Austin campus with free parking. I definitely learned a great deal about LBJ and his life's work; as well as the 60's. He was an interesting president and I enjoyed learning more about him.

“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2014

This museum was fabulous! My family and I spent 3 hours there trying to see every exhibit. It really brings LBJ the President and the man to life. A must see for anyone interested in American history or politics. I was there 3 years ago and loved it then. It has been extensively renovated, even better now. I especially enjoyed hearing LBJ's voice on several recorded calls. And the exhibit showing all the areas of our lives touched by his work was very informative, everything from the arts to safety and so much more. The coverage of his work on civil rights was excellent. And it is clear how many of his hopes and dreams for this country were derailed by involvement in Vietnam. A tragedy for so many.

“A fascinating view of our recent past”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2014

Since we visit Austin often, we tour the LBJ Presidential Library yearly. It has had a recent renovation and is featuring "Sixty From the Sixties" as a special exhibit this year. This is a wonderful view of the decade with photos, artifacts and great music. Very accessible to all.
We are always pleased that the museum does not paint Johnson as a complete hero but that it is very even-handed when it deals with the Vietnam War.
The animatronic LBJ is wonderful, he tells jokes and just imparts the Texas humor that the man did so well.
