Sixth street is infamously known as the core reason why so many UT Austin college students GPAs drop significantly.
If you're a college student looking to have a good time, look no further than sixth street. The section of the street, from Red River all the way to Congress offers nothing but clubs, bars, and wonderful food to quench your afterparty hunger.
Rappolo's is a great pizza place, be prepared to stand in line around 2am when the bars close!
Best Wurst is a yummy juicy hot dog stand, and the line can be veryy long.
Kebabilicious is my personal favorite along with everyone else, (located on seventh and trinity). They serve especially good Mediterranean food, kind of on the expensive side ($6+) but totally worth it.
Some of the popular college bars are: Aquarium, Wave, Agave, Thirsty Nickel, and Spill
You can go any day of the week literally, Monday-Sunday, and you will find people are out. If there's a special occasion on a weekend, it will be PACKED so just be aware. Some of these include UT graduation, back to school weekend both in late august/early september, and late january, game days, etc.
