“2nights”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We had no problem with the room, it was fine, clean and checking in and out a breeze, The bathtub is a little scary as no rails to help you get in and out and tub needed to be resurfaced. We were on the ground floor near the highway but the noise did not bother us. the first morning they were painting so they are really trying to spruce it up.
I called them direct and got a good rate. very convenient to downtown and it was only 15bucks to get a shuttle service. Not bad for the price.

Terrible. Cheap and easy access to downtown but never again. Dirty carpet. Sluggish toilet. Stained tub. Lots of long-term guests, apparently, as some people have candles in the windows and kids' toys outside their doors.

Check in was fast and easy. The staff was ALL friendly and extremely helpful. Room was clean and quiet enough to get plenty of rest, even with it's close location to downtown and adjacent HWY I-35. Transportation to the local hot spots was handled easily by the staff, so I was able to experience Austin and have a wonderful time. This hotel made my stay in beautiful downtown Austin, Texas an amazing experience. The right location at the right price, for sure.

Room Tip: Back side of the hotel is more quiet, and closer to the barbecue pits.

We got there on Sunday Labor Day weekend. We wanted to stay at a place close to the city but not necesarily downtown so we would have to spend a lot. WE booked for 47 dls a night and the room served its purpose. We only wanted a place to sleep as we would be out the whole day.

Check in took about 10 minutes and we had no problems. We got the room we reserved without problems. The room was located on the back part of the hotel on the ground floor. There were always enough parking spaces even with two big construction machines which blocked at least 4 or 5 spots.

The room was very dark so we needed to have the lights on all day or have everyone passing by take a look into our room. The room was cool during the day which was a good thing, but there is AC available. Somehow I think the AC machine was giving out this smell that resembled to humidity. The carpet was VERY dirty to the point which neither my wife nor I took our sandals off at any time inside the room. The bathroom was ok, except for the shower curtain that would keep opening up due to the pole being bent in the middle. The paint on the walls was indeed cheap as other have stated and the paint on the bathroom door would come off from the humidity of taking a shower. Bed sheets were clean but we definitely took the comforter off as those are seldom washed. Another thing, make sure you are out of your room before the cleaning service comes or they will skip your room and will not clean until the next day. We never tried the breakfast so we can't really comment on that.

The place served its purpose. We had a place to sleep and that was it. What did you expect for 47 bucks a night? I would probably not stay there again but if you are on a disgustingly tight budget, I think it's a good option.

Room Tip: Check the rooms beforehand if possible. Maybe you want to think twice before staying there or you mi...
