We had an appetizer in the bar before moving to the restaurant for dinner. The crab cake was delicious! The wine list in the bar is a little small compared to the HUGE wine list served by the restaurant, but our waittress was happy to bring us the bigger wine menu. We got a nice bottle and took the rest into the restaurant with us for dinner.
*Tip- their Happy Hour is a great deal on many of the appetizers (but we got there a little late). As long as you don't have your heart set on steak, you could probably make a meal of items just in their Happy Hour menu.
We had the Chateaubriand for 2 which was accompanied by 3 different sauces - our favorite sauce was the Truffled Merlot sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked and extremely tender. I splurged on calories and had their Lobster Bisque soup as a starter...it's one of the best soups I've had EVER and I don't pass it up.
The setting is lovely and very romantic. The service is attentive without being overbearing. They have a stunning "wine wall" where they store all of their wines....our waiter estimated they had $1.5m in wines back there. Wow!
It's definitely not the cheapest place in town, but the whole experience was worth it and we'll be back.
**Top Tip- go to Perry's for Friday lunch (it's the only day they're open for lunch). You can get the pork chop that made them famous for like $12.....it's HUGE and delicous. The best deal in town, really.
