Aloft at the Domain is fun and hip. We enjoyed our stay and will return when we are back to Austin. We had a minor problem with plumbing that was promplty and courteously corrected.

Enjoy a drink by the firepace in the lobby...the bar has great HH specials!

We stayed here the night before competing in a Livestrong 65 mile bike ride. The Domain had a dog festival of some kind going with dogs everywhere and in costume. It was also a UT home game. With all that going on - we had a great stay. We explored the domain shopping area, hit up the Range for dinner (which is an awesome sports restaurant and bar) and all without ever having to move the vehicle from it's parking space. They even stored our bikes downstairs so we didn't have to lug them to our rooms.

The front desk was helpful in providing us a selection of menus for the restaurants located at the Domain, shared some tips about the happy hour next door and took great care of us.

I love that we had a mini fridge and didn't have to pay extra. We also have to pack in our own fuel meal before a run or bike ride so this was awesome and unexpected. We have definately found our Austin event hotel from now on!!

We stayed at the Aloft at the Domain over the weekend while visiting my brother who lives in Austin. It was located in a great spot and the drive downtown was not too far. The rooms were layed out nicely and had everything you needed (iron, mini-fridge, hair dryer, safe). My only complaint about the room was the water pressure in the shower. I don't know if it was just our room but it was horrible! We also had to request our room to be cleaned one day. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay - not noisy as I've read in some of the other reviews.
The lobby was very nice as was the bar. Although it was too cool to use the pool, it looked like a nice outdoor area and I'm disappointed it wasn't warmer! There was live music in the lobby on Monday night when we got back from dinner which was very good. I beleive they have live music twice a week.
The staff was really friendly and accomodating. We got stuck there for an extra night due to Hurricane Sandy and flights being canceled into Phila. They were more than helpful and there was no problem with us extending our stay.

Overall, I would definitely stay there again. Loved that it was pet-friendly as well!!

I spent 4 evenings in Austin at the end of October and had the pleasure of staying at the ALoft Hotel. It is perfectly located only 20 minutes from the airport and nestled in the Domain which contains a variety of shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. On top of the lobby bar, there is also a sports bar called "The Park" next door where we ate 2 evenings. There also happened to be an art fair while we were there just a block from the hotel in between the many shops. The rooms were small but comfortable and it was a good place for a few evenings.
