“Zilker Park & Barton Springs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

The entire park is gorgeous - but Barton Springs is the jewel. Perfect for families with children of all ages, romantic for couples, and funky on full moon summer nights !! Water always cold & clear. I've been coming here since I can remember myself, then when I had children, and now with a granddaughter. We lay on the hill to sunbathe, get nice & hot & then jump off the diving board into bliss !

“Brrrrr”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

If you love looking at Austinites in their element, visit this pool. The water is outrageously cold and hard to get used to, but the view makes up for it all. Finding a spot to lay out can be tricky during the peak season because of the crowds, that's a drawback for me.

“A must for anyone wanting to experience authentic Austin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2012

Braton Springs is a uniquely Austin place. During the summer, it is a great getaway for families trying to escape the 100 degree weather. During the early Fall and Spring time, University students hang out hear after classes. During the winter, hard core swim enthusissts and triathlon athletes call this place home. Brings out the best combination of Austin year round.

Be aware, the first time you get in you will be shocked by the cold. However, if you can stand to stay in for a couple minutes, you will quickly adjust. Our family loves coming here every summer.

“Deep Austin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2012

Sorta like the grail of spring waters for Austin. Love the 30's era clubhouse, vegetation in the pool (and ducks) and 63degF year-round -- yikes that cold on a 110degF August day!
