The excellent service here is what you expect from a Four Seasons but most other aspects might belong to a Three Seasons Hotel, if there was such a thing. The rooms and (small) bathrooms are what you'd expect in a Hyatt or Marriott -(Though the beds and sheets are top-drawer, the towels are not very thick). But the main complaint is the nickel-and-diming. The rates are about the highest in Austin, but wi-fi is not free and there is no coffee maker in the room. (There really should be one,) Room service card to be put out at night has no prices; you need to find the book with the menu to discover that ordering a cup of coffee will be $20.00. The lobby, which includes a large bar/cafe is incredibly noisy at night. Being on the lake is very nice, and the location is good. Probably no better hotel in Austin, but it should and could be much better.
