“A walk in the park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

First time visit. Just loved how everyone at the park was out enjoying their day whether it was exercising, walking, running, cycling, playing with their dog or paddling on the river.

“Great Kayak Ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

We rented kayaks at Zilker Park Kayak and had a great time kayaking around the park. We got a 2 for 1 coupon online so it wasn't very expensive. Make sure to wear bottoms that you can get wet if you rent a kayak because they are not covered and you will end up sitting in about an inch of water.

“Good Views of Downtown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

There are big fields to play with your dog or fly a kite, Barton Springs is right there as well as some places to rent Kayaks for Town Lake. They put on events like the Kite Festival or Trail of Lights that end up becoming outrageously crowded very fast. Whatever you do, it'll have a great backdrop of the Austin skyline for pictures. If you want to just take pictures in front of the skyline, the park by the Palmer events center has a big mound that is perfect for getting that shot.
