“Service was awesome!!”

VV is an awesome place to stay. IT is the quintisential Hill Country Hotel. Beautiful views, and the service Monkeys are awesome. Yes I said service monkeys. You see VV has a new owner, and he decided to make the place more entertaining by adding the cute little monkeys. And guess what, they ride unicycles. Watching those little scamps trying to get up the stairs on the unicycle while holding large trays of premium high end food (Kobi beef, lobster and a rareity.....poached monkey) is soooooooo cute. It is well worth the ocassional spill, and when a monkey slips and kills himself with the tray - then more fresh poached monkey....yum! Also the bed linens are to die for. I took a set home for me...shhhhh!

“Nice hotel for weddings”

We stayed here for one night for a wedding. It is a very scenic hotel and excellent location for a wedding. The room we stayed in was very large with an excellent balcony overlooking Lake Travis. Some of the rooms do not have balconies. The service at the hotel was not spectacular, but adequate. The hotel is also a bit of a drive to get to. It's about 20 miles from I-35. Other than that it was a decent stay.

“Fantastic”

I stayed here over the New Years holiday and loved it. The room was comfortable, the bed was fantastic and the bathroom was very nice. Loved the big tub with room for two and whirlpool. Very private, quite and the operators were very helpful. We hung the Do not disturb sign and was not bothered at all for three days. The area is super nice with a many restaurants and shopping near buy. Loved the veiw. I plan to come again. I was a bit worried after reading the negative reviews posted here but found none of the comments applied to my trip. We are simple travelers and do not want or need pampering. We only require quite and privacy in a well appointed room and that is what we got. There is no room service, we did not visit the breakfast- didn't get up that early ;). There was an ice maker in the fridge that did not work, no dvd player but there was a VHS. Did not really watch TV.

“Beautiful setting, cute boutique hotel”

Vintage Villas

I loved Vintage Villas! The view is wonderful, the setting is peaceful, the room was clean, hotel staff were friendly. It is definitely a botique hotel and you don't have all the same amenities as a big chain resort/hotel. At night there is no one in reception to take your calls, it goes to an answering service. I wish they had a pool. They do have a lot of weddings, and one night we had really loud partiers in our building that were screaming, singing, drinking until 3am...it was annoying, but not the hotel's fault. I do wish they had security to make them be quite.
The room was spacious, great view, jacuzzi tub, and very comfortable. I really enjoyed the weekend getaway.

I would recommend if you want to be close to the lake and are easy going and want the Boutique-y type hotel.

We were looking forward to a week of pampering. The website site promised luxury--we got two-star at best for a preminum price. There was a horribly loud party in our building the first night which kept us up until 1:00 a.m. with screaming, singing, rock music and slamming doors. The furnishing in our room were not even par with a Holiday Inn Express! The room smelled musty and the bath towels were cheap, stained and had holes. Our room was on the third floor--the stairs were dirty and had bugs. What a disaster! We were so disappointed. Way too much money for what we got.
