Mercy me. What a comedown. A co-worker and I spent the week in Austin at the Mansion at Judge's Hill and then moved for the weekend to this place "on" Lake Travis. Everything you hear about the views of Lake Travis are true--wonderful. But there are "views" and then there are "views". You can see Lake Travis from this location but then again you can see the sun from this location, which does not mean you are very close or have a good view. So what else does the VV have to offer? A decent breakfast buffet for a good price. Very well kept grounds. Several good restaurants (with real Lake views) within a mile or two. And that is about it. The air conditioner is insufferably loud. The furniture in the rooms is the Indonesian made import stuff that looks just a slight cut above what my brother made in his high school shop class. The linens are threadbare. The hotel management is unprofessional and unresponsive to requests from guests. Construction going on next door. I would say just pass on this place.

Not a bit. No ice machines, so we had to hike about a hundred yards to the office to get ice. The parking area looked like a pickup truck dealer's lot and all the trucks looked like they were full of liquor, ice chests, and soon to be drunk 20-something wedding goers. A little bit scary to park our car there. Bed linens were cheap. Was it intentional that the towels did not match? Some white, some cream. Would not recommend.

The staff was awsome! We got there and everyone was ready to greet us and help us make our stay nicer. When we mentioned that we were just on a romantic night out, without our little one...the front desk immediately asked if we wanted wine, chocolate covered strawberries..ect...After coming back from our night out, as promised beautifully decorated strawberries and chilled wine! Couldn't ask for better service. The breakfast was delicious with a friendly staff AGAIN! We will return!!

We loved Vintage Villas! The staff was exceptional. We stayed here after fleeing Houston due to an hurricane warning. I can not express how helpful and great Lori was to us. We stayed in a queen room. The view of Lake Travis and the sunset was amazing. Our room was large, with a large walk-in shower, Bath & Body Works products, comfortable bed, small bar & sink, refrigerator, microwave, etc. The only thing that I can say to improve on would be bed covers. The rate was great. Excellent for a weekend getaway. The location was also convenient to everything (restaurants, shopping), even Austin, which was a quick 20 minutes away.

We decided to stay here in lieu of other Lake Travis accomodations/B&Bs and we were happy we did! We loved Vintage Villas! We took some tips from previous hotel guests: request a king room on the 3rd floor. We stayed in room 136 (it is a corner room). The view from our balcony was amazing. Our room was large (huge bathroom), jacuzzi tub, large stand up shower, robes, Bath & Body Works products, comfortable bed, lots of windows, small bar & sink, refrigerator, microwave, etc. The only thing that I can say to improve on would be a better showerhead and new bed covers, like simple white duvets. But with its current amenities, this room could definitely command a higher nightly rate. We only paid $179 for a weekend night. I think we got a great deal, compared to the surrounding B&Bs which were charging in the neighborhood of $225/night, with a minimum 2 night stay. Great for a short getaway. This location was also convenient to everything (restaurants, boat rentals), even Austin, which was a quick 20 minutes away.
